We hold only what is needed to carry out your journey. We do not sell your details, and your number does not leave us.

1. What we collect

What reaches us, and what does not.

  • From you. Your name, your WhatsApp number, your email address if you give one, and the details of the journey: dates and times, pickup and destination, how many passengers, how many suitcases, and any note you add.
  • From the journey itself. The quotation we sent, your approval of it, the class and car assigned, the chauffeur assigned, and the invoice.
  • What we never ask for. We do not ask for a card number, a passport copy or an identity document in order to book a journey. Where you need an invoice in a company name, we ask only for what that document itself requires.
  • From the website. Which pages are read and on what kind of device, in aggregate. No page on this site asks for payment details.

2. Why we hold it

Three reasons.

  • To carry out the journey. A car cannot be assigned, a chauffeur cannot be sent and a pickup cannot be confirmed without the name, the number and the details of the journey.
  • To invoice. An invoice, and for companies an electronic tax invoice, must carry a name and a reference. Egyptian law sets what an invoice contains.
  • To answer later. If a question is raised about a journey months afterwards, the record lets us answer it with facts rather than with memory.

3. Who sees it

A short list, and no one beyond it.

  • The person handling your booking. One named member of staff, and the colleague who covers for that person. Both are logged against every record they open.
  • The accountant. Your name, the reference and the amount, for the invoice. Nothing else.
  • The chauffeur. Your first name, the pickup point and the time. He does not see your email address, your other journeys or your invoice.
  • Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, share or trade your details. We do not pass your number to a partner hotel, an airline, an agency or an advertiser, and we do not buy lists from any of them.

4. Your number

It is not a marketing list.

  • The chauffeur's number and yours. His number opens two hours before pickup and closes when the journey ends. Your number is not left with him afterwards, and his contract forbids contact outside the journey.
  • We do not call to sell. We write to you about the journey you asked for and the quotation you asked for. We do not call, message or email you to sell you anything else. There is no marketing list to be removed from, because we keep none.
  • If a chauffeur contacts you. Tell us on the escalation line, +20 100 000 0001. It is a breach of his contract and it is treated as one.

5. How long we keep it

And how to have it removed.

  • Journey records. Held while you are a client, and afterwards for as long as a question about an invoice could reasonably arise.
  • Invoices and tax records. Held for the period Egyptian law requires. These we cannot delete on request, and we will say so rather than claim otherwise.
  • Requests that came to nothing. A request that never became a booking is deleted after 12 months.
  • Deletion. Write to info@georgecar.example and we remove what we hold within 30 days, apart from records the law requires us to keep. By post: George Car for Vehicle Rental, Cairo, Egypt.

6. Cookies

No cookies: two records that do a job, and the counting.

  • What the site keeps. One record of which country section you chose, so that you are not asked a second time, and one that holds what you have put into your request while you are still filling it in. Both live in your own browser.
  • Measurement. We count visits under a random session number that your browser forgets when you close the tab: which pages are read, where the visit came from (a search engine, another site or a campaign), whether the WhatsApp, call or email buttons were used, and whether a request was sent. The count carries no name, no number, no address and no cookie, and we do not join it to your request. It tells us which pages are worth writing more of.
  • Advertising. Where we advertise, we may measure whether an advertisement led to a request. That measurement is aggregate and is not attached to your journey record.
  • Refusing them. You may refuse everything beyond the two above and nothing on this site will stop working: switch on “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” in your browser and your visits are not counted. Your browser can clear all of them at any time.

7. Questions

Put them in writing. This notice takes effect in September 2026 and replaces any earlier version. For anything about what we hold, or to ask for its removal, write to info@georgecar.example and you will have a written answer.
